Happy Feet is an animated wonder about a penguin named Mumble who can't sing, but can dance up a storm. George Miller, the driving force behind the Babe (and Mad Max) movies, takes another creative step in family entertainment with this big, beautiful, music-fueled film that will have kids and their parents dancing in the streets. From his first moment alive, Mumble (voiced Elijah Woods) feels the beat and can't stop dancing. Unfortunately, emperor penguins are all about finding their own heart song, and the dancing youngster--as cute as he is--is a misfit. Luckily, he bumps into little blue penguins and a Spanish-infused group (led by Robin Williams) and begins a series of adventures. Miller has an exceptional variety of entertainment: Busby Berkley musical numbers, amusement-park thrills, exciting chase sequences (seals and orca lovers might like think otherwise), and even an environmental message that doesn't weigh you down. Best of all, you don't know where the movie is going in the last act, a rare occurrence these days in family entertainment. A fusion of rock songs, mashed-up and otherwise, are featured; this movie is as much a musical as a comedy. Mumble's solo dance to a new version of Stevie Wonder's "I Wish" by Fantasia, Patti, and Yolanda may be the most joyful moment on camera in 2006. --Doug Thomas More Happy Feet

I was 14 or 15 when I first saw this movie and loved it. I found it funny and enjoyable hearing the penguans sing edited versions of songs that I always listened to or found familiar. My favorites were the Kiss, boogie wonderland, and the stevie wonder song near the end. I loved the dancing too (I'm a lover of music and dances). They did some wonderful choreography for these scenes. I expecially liked the credits when they play Song of The Heart by Prince (I MP3'ed that). I actually liked the messages of the movie. the thing about being different from others in society is one. Mumbo is ridiculed for being different which can be reflected in our own societies. The humans are ruining the earth thing was good because in reality its true. Someone said that its overboard because it gives humans few redeeming qualities, but I have to disagree because when you think of what goes on in the world humans do have few redeeming qualities in terms of nature. Now theres one thing I have to agree with though -snicker- some of this is a little too adult for the little ones. It should have been at least a PG-13 rating even though some of the content will go over thier heads. I knew when I saw this in theatres there would be some parents out there getting thier panties in a bunch over the Prince, Boy II Men, and Color me Bad songs. The reason why I give HF a 4 instead of a five is because near the middle it drags on a little too long.

Happy Feet is a modern day fairytale and allegory of healing and redemption, the resilience of the spirit (human and penguin!), the power of the collective, and of course, the hero's quest. Every earthling over the age of 8 ought to watch it!

I specifically ordered this movie for my niece in college as a valentine's day gift. It was to be a study break movie. I chose this company because it said new, sealed package, as from the factory. This is not what I received! The package was inserted in the mailer with the broken seal end inserted in the envelope mailer first. So when you opened the package, it appeared new and the seal appeared unbroken. This is not what the product claim was and not what I ordered. The price was good, and I am familiar with the movie, but I ordered a new copy! I did not have time to return it and order another copy, so I kept it, but I will never order from this vendor again! Why try to be deceptive, and think you can fool the consumer, as if I would not notice the way it was packaged? Bah! Humbug! Shame on you!

I have kids that love animated movies. They hated this one. The adults in our family hated it too because of Robin Williams annoying voice. It was not cute, funny, nor entertaining. Save your money. This is one of the worst movies ever made.
